Are Designer Sunglasses Worth the Price? Wall Street Journal article
We all have wondered from time to time about designer sunglasses and what is so special about them. When I say designer brands I mean high end brands like Louis Vuitton, Prada, etc. which a pair can run nearly $500 give or take a hundred or so and that is not even with prescription lenses. Celebrities wear them, no surprise because they have the money or the brands give it to them, along with well to do socialites who can afford a pair. To an average person, like you and I, is it really worth it to buy a pair? What can we gain from it?
The only two reasons I can think of is that first of all, they are designer name brand. People buy them because they are associated with a certain brand and that association perhaps denotes a certain 'social status' or an elevated 'style.' The second reason, is the quality of the sunglasses themselves. I can maybe understand the price if the pair of shades is constructed of gold plated titanium, with turtle shell details, and the highest quality light-weight polarized lenses. All complete with a leather case with suede on the inside and lifetime warranty. Even then that is a stretch and the quality will not matter they are so happened to be stepped or sat on.
Here is an article from the Wall Street Journal about the value of the designer sunglasses. Here
Honestly speaking, there isn't a single brand that comes to mind that has the same prices and quality as Kreed and Crush sunglasses do. Nothing better than a great quality return for the price!

Kreed and Crush in Transworld Business
We've all enjoyed the Kreed and Crushes (the womans line) sunglasses and have benefited from the great quality and style along with an unrivaled affordability. Where else can you find good polarized sunglasses for under $50? It's not often one gets a look of what goes on the back end of a business. Here is a glimpse from Mark Lohrbach, Vice President of Fortress (parent company to Kreed and Crush), on what we can expect this year and the next.

Kreed x Oahu North Shore Lifeguards
"In the North Shore's seven-mile stretch of some of the world's best surfspots, there are five full-time lifeguard towers.
"It's like we're sitting at a red light, just waiting for an accident to happen," said veteran lifeguard Mark Dombroski, 56, who has worked on theNorth Shore for 35 years. "You just gotta do the best you can to control the situation, but in reality, the situation is out of control. On a good day at 'Ehukai, with clean conditions and overhead surf, there could be up to 500 people in the water. That's not counting the hordes of spectators on the beach."
HonoluluAdvertiser.com
Mark Dombroski, head of the North Shore lifeguards, (famous father of our favorite Hawaii Crush girl, Brooke Dombroski) and the North Shore Lifeguard Association wear KREED polarized eyewear as their polarized eyewear of choice! The North Shore lifeguards understand how important it is to have glare reducing polarized sunglasses for their life saving profession and they wear KREED polarized eyewear because they love the product and it works for them. This adds HUGE credibility to our already great polarized eyewear collection and testifies to the fact that you don't have to pay $100+ to get the same eyewear that ranks with the best in both fit, polarization and optical quality! Look for a special announcement in association with the North Shore lifeguards and KREED polarized eyewear coming soon!

Summertime and the livin's easy... especially with the LTD-5's
I've been wearing these Kreed LTD-5's for a couple of weeks and I have to say that I really love it. These are the perfect summer shades and let me tell you why!
• First, they are polarized. Polarized are the best especially for the beach be cause they cut down the glare significantly. With polarized lenses you can see straight through the water which is important for lifeguards. Also with the glare gone it allows colors to show brighter. No reflected glare and brighter colors = WIN.
• Secondly, the LTD-5 doesn't make the world look like night. I've worn shades where the lenses make everything seem like the sun is setting at 2 in the afternoon. These shades have it just right.
• Lastly, they are sturdy yet lightweight. Working as a lifeguard I've found that heavy sunglasses take a toll after several hours of wearing them causing headaches and a sore nose bridge. I don't even notice the LTD-5's even after wearing them for the entire day!
Get yourself a pair of the LTD-5 at the Kreed store website!
